Bathroom ceiling leak at work leads to air duct concerns

I absolutely prefer where I work, however it’s low key, I don’t have several coworkers & there is no drama.

  • I think that a drama free place of employment is what contributes to the overall success of a company, but the big picture of a company is formulated through the attitudes & work performance from employees.

This is absolutely not the case at where I work! Everyone, works hard, gets rewarded for what they do & no one complains about their work. The other morning my two coworkers called out of work, so it was just me in the office. I heard a absolutely strange noise coming from the powder room in the back room. I thought someone had snuck into the office & was trying to scare me… When I turned the light on in the back room I saw a puddle of water. I looked up & the ceiling was leaking! I called the dwelling owner of our office building & she sent a roofing company over. The roofing company was able to fix the leak however when they took some of the ceiling tiles off they saw that the water had run into the air duct! Therefore my dwelling owner also had to call the local Heating & A/C company. The Heating & A/C company showed up within a half hour. I showed them the leak & they did an inspection on the air duct. The Heating & A/C worker said that my associate and I were lucky that the metal sheet air duct was sealed so tightly. If the air duct wasn’t sealed as tight, the water would have seeped into the air duct, causing serious concerns that could lead to mold & immediate upgradement & cleaning of the air duct.
