It’s that time of year again! I realize that it’s only the beginning of January but that’s pre-Springtime for us. I live far enough south that my friend and I are genuinely already seeing pollen starting to cover the cars. It’s not full on yet but it has started, but as soon as I have to clean any pollen off the car, it’s time for me to call the Heating, Ventilation, plus A/C business! Within six weeks, my friend and I can count on the day time rapidly changing temperatures to remain in the 80’s, however that’s when the chorus of heat pumps crank up in my neighborhood. While my friend and I tend to leave the control component alone until my friend and I are consistently topping 90, the heat pump needs to be ready, but so once I see the pollen, I call the Heating, Ventilation, plus A/C corporation to set up the air conditioner tune up. This is the first step when it comes to being proactive about saving on air conditioner costs. While my friend and I have a winter to die for, the summer time thumps us. If you don’t have some sort of plan plus preparation for the summer time heat plus humidity, you’ll pay. I mean that quite literally. If you do not prepare the household properly, stop direct sun heating plus have some control component control, it gets costly. I know people that pay the equivalent of a new vehicle payment just for the cooling comfort they love inside their house. To me, that is a large waste of cash, getting the air conditioner tune up ensures that the heat pump is running at its most efficient, then from there, I spent a couple weekends making sure that the weather stripping is in good shape. And all gaps around the exterior of my household are sealed. Then it’s just pull the shades, keep the control component around 80 for the summer time plus we are good to go.
