I spend a fortune on candles and air fresheners at this point
I know that I’m going to save money on candles and air fresheners once we get our whole home air purification system installed! I know that this really sounds like a terrible thing when I say it out loud, but the truth of the matter is that my kids really stink. I have four boys and they range in age from thirteen all the way up to eighteen and all of them just stink. It’s not like they don’t shower or anything, because they do. They even use soap and shampoo most of the time! They just all play sports and that ends up making the house smell terrible most of the time. I notice it the most whenever the air conditioning system kicks on during the summer. I think that it’s because they leave their dirty cleats in the mudroom next to one of the air returns for the ventilation system. Whenever that air return sucks in that stinky air, it ends up returning it through the rest of the house through the ventilation ducts and then the whole house smells like a locker room. I spend a fortune on candles and air fresheners at this point. I finally talked to our heating and cooling company about the problem and they said that they get this kind of thing all the time. Apparently, most of the parents in our town call them for help when they have stinky teenage boys in the house! They said that the best thing for us to do would be to get a whole home air purification system installed and so that is what we are doing!
