My friend is obsessed with the idea of living in one of those tiny homes.
She watches that show constantly and is always asking me to watch it with her.
For the life of me I can’t understand the fascination and feel that if you’re going to spend that much on a compact space you might as well live in a motorhome. At least these have a design that has evolved over the years and they already have the feel of a small house anyway. The other plus side to those is that you can just pick up and move to another location easily and travel and see the country. She finally decided to start seriously looking into having a tiny house built and realized quickly that there were many obstacles that would be in her way. She planned on putting it on piece of land next to her parents place and one of the problems would be that she wouldn’t have electricity and would be dependent upon a generator. This wouldn’t be an efficient form of power especially during the winter so her plans changed and she moved it closer to her parents house. Even if that she had to conserve electricity so when it came to her HVAC system she had to be very careful to find one that would not only fit in her house but be fuel efficient also. She contacted a local HVAC dealer who win over her options for the most compact units on the market. The explained that the unit that she was looking for was a custom order so would be very costly but at that point she really doesn’t have a choice. Here again. my opinion is that living in a motorhome that’s already equipped with an HVAC system that is suited for it just makes more sense.
