The right timeframe for changing your furnace

My mom always calls me for things.

This is mainly because she does not have a computer at her home or a smartphone, however she wants me to look up things for her that she does not know how to do.

She called me the other afternoon to ask me about her Heating, Ventilation, & A/C system. I’m not a very handy person but I know how to go online & find out information on heating & cooling. My mother is unsure when she should be replacing her heating & cooling equipment. Her home is about 30 years old & her & my dad have not changed the Heating, Ventilation, & A/C system since then. I found a lot of information online & I found out that, it a homeowners heat pump is more than 10 years old they should consider replacing it. If it is upgraded than the homeowner can save up 20% in energy bills. I also found out that, if a furnace or boiler is more than 15 years old than it should be upgraded too. My mother agreed with the information that I found & said that her heating & cooling system is well overdue. Plus the older the system is the more energy & cash a homeowner could be losing since they are not getting the most optimum efficiency out of the system. I told my mom this & she immediately called an Heating, Ventilation, & A/C dealer to come take a look at her Heating, Ventilation, & A/C system, no one wants to lose energy or cash due to an Heating, Ventilation, & A/C system.
