I recently got my own household for the truly first time.
I’ve always lived with friends or boyfriends however decided it was finally time for me to transfer out on my own.
I was a little sad because I wasn’t sure what to expect since I’m used to having people around me all the time. I also have four siblings so before I moved out of my parents household I still have people around me consistently! However, I have started to easily appreciate my free time in the little things that make living alone better, however one thing I wasn’t expecting was I would be able to change the temperature of the temperature control to whatever I want. I am always freezing in my household but I believe that’s because my boyfriend that I lived with before wanted the temperature of the temperature control lowered all the time. He hated the idea of being hot while he slept so not only did he have the a/c blasting all night long however also had a ceiling fan turned on. I basically had to sleep in sweatpants as well as a sweatshirt just to stay warm. I easily hated living like that as well as now I don’t have to. I can keep the temperature of my household whatever I want as well as I have never felt more free. I hope that I notice a difference in my yearly bills because when I lived with my boyfriend before they were always severely high. Now I realize it was because of his air-conditioning habits.
