I have to supply my honest opinion here when it comes to a/cs.
I certainly like the old window a/cs over the central heating and a/c’s cooling. There are several reasons for this. The first being that with an old window a/c you do not have to pay for or worry about tons of HVAC service. The next thing about the old window a/cs that I liked so much better was the fact that the actual a/c itself had a much better feel to it. It was not as dry as what comes out of central heating and a/cs. This is just my opinion of course and several people would disagree with me and say that central heating and a/cs are much better than the old window a/c units. It certainly is all a matter of opinion. There certainly is no right or no wrong when it comes to a/c. If the a/c works for you and your family and gives you the good feel of the indoor comfort that you desire, then that is the best a/c for you. If it is an old window a/c that is great, if it is a brand new central heating and a/c with the cooling that comes out of it that is great too. But whatever the case, I like the old window a/cs over anything else!
